Totoro!

His eyes are really huge and therefore a little un-Totoro-like, but other than that this turned out pretty well. Re-igniting my love of making cute things: success.

 

Tonari no Totoro

My first three favorite tapes to watch as a little kid would definitely be Tonari no Totoro, Panda Kopanda, and Pingu. (Hi Carlos. Am I missing any?) So I was thrilled when I found this amigurumi pattern by heavens_hellcat. Easy! And her finished product is, well, awesome:

I haven’t worked on this since the summer, but it’s not far from completion and I’m already tempted to make another. The yarn is some KP Shine Sport which is pretty great for amigurumi if you don’t mind the bit of shine. I don’t remember which hook I was using. The eyes and one “ear” are also completed.
